Workshop

Welcome to AI for Supply Chain

Turning AI concepts into operational decisions.

AI is easy to access. Applying it effectively across real business operations is much harder.

This workshop explores how AI moves from individual productivity to enterprise application, grounded in business context, connected data, operational risk and governed decision-making.

Across four sessions, participants will use a shared supply chain dataset to explore different AI capabilities and business problems. Each session presents its own perspective and may use a different story or exercise.

Together, the sessions create one practical learning journey:

Understand how AI works. Connect it to enterprise data. Evaluate operational risk. Apply it to a real business decision.

What You Will Learn

By the end of the workshop, participants will understand:

  • How AI moves from prompts to operational workflows.
  • Why enterprise AI requires trusted business data and context.
  • How AI can help organizations identify and evaluate operational risk.
  • How cross-functional teams can use AI to make governed supply chain decisions.
  • What is required to move from an AI experiment toward practical enterprise adoption.

Workshop Learning Journey

One Shared Dataset. Four Practical Perspectives.

The same sanitized supply chain dataset provides a common business foundation across the workshop.

However, the four sessions do not need to use the same story:

  • Session 1 uses the data to explain how AI works with prompts, context and workflows.
  • Session 2 uses the data to demonstrate enterprise data and AI enablement.
  • Session 3 uses the data to explore operational risk and resilience.
  • Session 4 uses the data to run an integrated cross-functional decision case.

Each session stands independently. Together, they show how AI capabilities become progressively more relevant to enterprise operations.

Workshop Outcome

Participants begin by understanding AI as a capability.

They leave understanding how AI can support real enterprise operations:

Business context Enterprise data Risk evaluation Governed decision Coordinated action

The workshop is designed to build practical understanding. It does not require participants to adopt a specific technology or commit to a commercial engagement.

Dataset: DataCo Smart Supply Chain (Constante, Silva, Pereira; Mendeley Data, CC BY 4.0). Participant materials are sanitized.

The Sustainity Workshop Environment is a controlled simulation. It is not a production trial and does not execute actions in external systems.
